3 Simple Ways To Transition To A Vegan Skincare Routine
Confession: I may be fully vegan when it comes to food, but I’m not 100% there when it comes to my beauty routine.
Developing my shop has inspired me, and has me digging in the trenches.
The more I continue on this wellness journey, the more I realize that it’s a process. From breaking old habits, to researching the power of using all natural ingredients, to bravely trying new products.
It can feel overwhelming if you don’t know where to start. One way I avoid overwhelm while transitioning to vegan beauty products is to take it one step at a time.
I’ve also learned to:
Replace one product at a time with a vegan one as they run out, instead of trying to overhaul my entire beauty routine at once.
Focus on replacing my most frequently used products. As a busy mama, I keep it simple. Just give me a good cleanser, moisturizer & lip gloss with minimal ingredients. Current favs are The Lip Bar, Tata Harper Skincare, and Black Girl Sunscreen.
Look for simple, multi-purpose products. Like, rose water! It can be used as a natural makeup remover, toner, and conditioner when paired with jojoba or coconut oil. It’s also a pretty delightful cooling/body mist. Rosewater is packed with antioxidants and can help reduce cortisol levels and lower stress.
Find an all natural version in my wellness shop.
How do you avoid overwhelm when it comes to your beauty routine? Any clean products that you enjoy?
