4 Vegan Beauty Products That Transition Well From Summer To Fall

A simple way to NOT let go of summer…

It’s all about how you take care of yourself…

Even as a California girl, I always have trouble saying goodbye to summer! The warmth, the longer days and endless beach romps are tough to part with. As I continue on my wellness journey, I’ve discovered a simple way to NOT let go of the season:

It’s all about how you take care of yourself throughout the year. It starts with leaning on versatile beauty and wellness products that transition well from summer to fall! As a busy mom, my picks aren’t fancy. I’m all about these 4 products:

Aloe Vera Gel

  1. Aloe Vera Gel: Relieves eczema, acne, and even soothes skin after sunburn during hot months. You can also use it as an astringent, to moisturize dry hands and calm a flaky scalp in the winter.

  2. Jojoba Oil: Known for its similarity to the skin's natural oils, jojoba oil balances and hydrates the skin, providing a protective barrier against environmental stressors. It can be used as a post-sun moisturizer in the summer. Use jojoba oil year around to improve the texture of dry hair or dandruff. It can also be used as a lip balm, beard oil, cuticle oil, as makeup remover, and to treat oily, acne prone skin. I added jojoba oil to my moisturizing citrus body scrub and it’s one of our top selling products!

  3. Rosewater: Rosewater is one of the most versatile products I’ve encountered. It can be used as a cooling spray or body mist in the summer. In the fall rosewater comes in clutch as a toner and all natural makeup remover. Plus, you can pair rosewater with jojoba oil or coconut oil to use as hair conditioner. Edible rosewater can be ingested as a cleansing tonic with water, or used in baked goods. Yum!

4. Cucumber mist: Refreshing and incredibly hydrating, tote cucumber mist in your beach bag for quick relief after being out in the sun. You can also use cucumber mist as a toner, all natural makeup setting spray, and to reduce puffiness around one’s eyes (thanks to cucumber's high water content). In general cucumber is vitamin rich, packed with nutrients designed to nourish our skin throughout the year. This includes vitamins A, B1, and C. Cucumbers also have antioxidants that can help improve blood circulation and reduce inflammation.

They’re also a powerful ingredient to add to DIY face masks. To make a super simple, healing mask:

  • Grab a plum and half of a cucumber.

  • Blend them up on low for a few seconds.

  • Scoop out the pulp and add it to your face.

  • Let the mask sit for 20 minutes before washing it off. Feel refreshed!
